Blue Lake Park, located just south of the I -10 Exit on Highway 77, was recently renovated with a $50,000 state grant. Brand new playground equipment (boxed in with beach sand) was installed, and the covered, concrete picnic tables were repainted and sod was planted throughout the park.
A boardwalk was built along the lake's edge with beach sand creating an attractive shoreline. The lake retains it scenic beauty, regretfully though, the long term drought in Florida has kept the lake from rising yet to its former level. (County law prohibits fishing.)
